Both Varun and Uthara are concerned about the aftermath if the wedding is canceled in terms of Balan’s prestige and the problems that could result between the families. Varun’s approach is not great but the intention is okay. What he forgot to consider is Aathavan’s character or lack there of. Aathavan made a commitment to Uthara with the intention of not keeping it. He doesn’t have the guts to go and fess up to Balan and trying to hide behind Uthara and let her take the blame. Not a genuine person.
If Varun does the same thing to Soumya then no difference between both Varun and Aathavan. Hoping Balan instilled good morals in his brother.
