“Hey Roy! How are you man?” came a man dressed in full suit. Roy who was holding his head in his hands lifted his head and saw who was coming. He was surprised to see his friend Stanley there.
“Hey Stan! I’m fine. Welcome dude. how are man. What a surprise you came here to meet me? I’m glad to see you after long time” Roy was so much delighted to see his childhood friend.
“I’m great dude” Stan gave a tight hug to show how much he too delighted to see his friend Roy. After they came out of their excitement, Stan asked Roy “What happened Roy you looked dejected when I came?”
Roy gave a smile and explained the case “It is such a headache case Stan. Commissioner is to ride over us. Two murders happened within two days”.
Stan listened carefully and asked this question “Do you have any guess who did this Roy?”. Roy twisted his lips and said “No Stan. In fact I don’t know whether these two murders are connected”.
Silence prevailed sometime between them. “Okay leave it Stan. You came to see me after so many days. You just tell me what you are doing now? How are your parents?” Roy changed the topic.
“I’m looking after all my dad’s businesses now Roy. And my parents died in last year’s flight accident” Stan said it in quite normal tone. But Roy was shocked to hear this news.
“Hey Stan! Sorry man” Roy was really felt sorry for Stanley’s parents death. “It’s okay Roy” Stan consoled him. But Roy was still not out of this news because Stan’s parents were too kind to the orphan Roy.
Yes! Roy was brought up in an orphanage. His only dearest friend was Stan. Stan and his family always treated Roy as their own family member. Roy came to this city due to his job. So their death news made him worry a lot.
“Roy when are you going to stop your speech. What about a coffee man?” Stan wisely change Roy’s attention. “Oh! I totally forgot about that. Wait a minute dude” said these words Roy went to bring coffee to Stan.
Stan remembered the past days of their school life. “How much this Roy have grown” Stan thought of Roy’s growth proudly. After Roy brought coffee they two spoke about their past and present.
Finally Stan said with hesitation “Roy I came here on a business purpose. So I thought staying with you. Shall I?”.
“Why are you hesitating Stan. This is also your house. I’m nothing without you Stan. Just stay with me man” Roy said these words like an order.
Roy asked Stan to take rest and he went to the commissioner office. As he expected the commissioner, Pankaj Kumar shouted “What’s going on in the city. This is the second murder. Don’t take much time to catch the culprit. Act fast”.
Then Roy as he planned went to meet Steve’s friend Mike’s family. “Say Mike! How do you know Steve. How you two became friends?” Roy started his enquiry from Mike.
“Two years back we lost my sister Angel sir. We weren’t able to come out of it. At that time I met Steve in the church. He used to come every sunday regularly. Soon we became friends. He was the only reason I came out of my sister’s death sir” Mike replied heartily.
“Sorry to ask this question. But won’t you mind tell me how your sister died?” Roy asked in a hesitated tone. But Mike replied without any delay “suicide sir. Doctor said she was in depression”.
As this topic created worry on Mike’s face, Roy left that topic right there. “Okay thanks Mike” Roy thanked Mike and moved to other family members to enquire.
Mike’s family members said alike as “He is a friend of Mike. So we know him. But he is such a good soul sir. He makes everyone laugh with his speech. He haven’t done any bad things to anyone. Please find who killed him sir!”
Roy moved to his next question “what is his business?”. “I don’t know that much sir. But he said he was working in expanding his dad’s business in our city” Mike replied for this question but bit confused.
Roy was totally confused with the answers of Mike family
“Who are you y? Why you killed this man Steve?” Roy questioned to himself and went to his office to look other cases.
The darkness in that forest will make anyone lose their nerves. But the cruel smile of megha was much terror than the dark forest. A man was tied in a tree before megha without consciousness.
Megha slapped that man roaring the words “wake up!”. With that slap the man before her slowly woke up. Dizziness of that man went away and he came to his senses.
He slowly recognised where he was. He understood the situation slowly. And he thought what happened before he fainted. What he remembered was after he completed his work he came to his car.
But his car’s tyres were punctured. So he went to get a cab. He just remembered that moment clearly. After getting into the cab someone sprayed something in his face. Then he ended waking up here.
“How I came here? Who tied me in this tree? Hey who are you. Do you know who I am. How dare you kidnap me” the man shouted.
Megha now came close to him and said “You deserve to die!” in a gruff voice. A sudden wave of shiver went into the man’s nerves. His mouth quivered.
Megha opened a box of insects and put all of them in that man’s body. The man screamed due to the insects bite. Some insects went into nose, ear and mouth. He felt that death is better than this state.
“Please kill me!” He begged. But Megha let him torment each and every second. After several hours, his scream stopped and so his life. Megha dragged him till the roadside and she vanished.
Stan woke up by the lingering lights around him. “What are you doing Roy?” Stan questioned Roy still felt sleepy. Roy gave a sigh and said nothing other than these words “Third murder Stan”. Now Stan became fully awake “what?”.
Roy just nodded his head. “Who is the man dead now?” Stan asked out of curiosity. Roy hold his forehead and said “Madhan, the famous lawyer!”.
