The pleasant dawn made many move towards that city’s church. That bright look in everyone’s face tells how their heart is filled with hearty bliss. Those decorations highlights the church much brighter than any other day.
Yes! It’s the Christmas! “Hey Mike! Merry Christmas man! When did you came?” Steve cannot hide his joy to meet his friend Mike.
“Just now! And merry Christmas to you buddy!” Mike replied with wink in his eyes. “Where is sid?” asked Mike to Steve. He replied that sid is in a party. As they about to start their talk the bell rang denoting the time of worship and thus they moved.
A pair of eyes stared them vehemently from the begin. The mystery figure overhear their conversation with sarcastic smile in that lips.
When the prayer starts, they too started murmuring but even the neighbour guy can’t hear their words other than “Hmm!”. In the midst, someone called Mike and so he moved.
The prayer completed by the priest saying an ‘amen’. Now Mike searched for his friend Steve “where did he just went? Oh god always slips as he wishes”.
He moved on with his family scolding Steve. After few minutes the church become empty securing total silence.
Meanwhile Steve was kidnapped by the mystery figure and he is now unconscious. Slowly the dawn become dusk. Moon crept into the earth by its white rays.
Steve was on his knees crying for his life. “Please leave me! Don’t don’t kill me! I’m sorry sorry! Please!”. Even the God will show a concern when he happened to see his scream.
But the figure didn’t show any mercy on him. Without any delay Steve’s both hands are broken into two. His scream tear the black sky’s silence. But in vain as no one was there to save him.
A moment later he was presented with lots of wounds throughout his body with a sharp knife. His parts like palm tongue are tore off. Finally his eye balls were taken out without any mercy.
The mystery figure showed his face to Steve before his eye balls were taken. In the middle of this agony, Steve was extremely shocked with the figure stands before him.
Now Steve was left to shout and scream half naked under the full winter Christmas night. The mystery figure cherished Steve’s agony heartily. Steve slowly kissed the foot of death by the wake of sun.
Morning 6:00 A.M
A man with headphones on his ears jogged with singing “Hmm.. mmm! yeah!”. There he saw some crows rounding around a man who’s lying down some meters away.
The curious man went forward but stands still by the cruelly beaten brutal face of the man over there. With sudden rush of shiver, he screamed out.
People gathered within no time there. The news reached police and all of a sudden this case of brutal murder spread all over the city. The place suddenly filled with police surveillance.
“Ganesh come here man. Control the crowd. Don’t let the people touch the body” ordered Roy the assistant commissioner of police.
“Yes sir!” Said Ganesh with a tone full of respect. Roy called the one who witnessed the body first. The man with headphones came forward still shivering.
After asking some questions Roy ordered him to come whenever he calls. He called upon Raj inspector of incharge and ordered him “Raj get the eyewitness address and number. And go for cctv footages around this area quick”.
Raj moved saying “yes sir!”. Then Roy moved near the dead body where the forensic people search for evidences.
“Did you get anything worthy guys?” asked Roy to them. “Nothing sir! But we are sure that he is tortured to death. Also he is brutally wounded and killed” said them in their usual way.
“Okay. Then move the body to the hospital for postmortem” after said this Roy started to move towards his car. But before he climb the car press people surrounded him with dozens of questions.
“Move! I said move” Roy almost shouted to move them. Another police man called those press people and gave substance for them. Roy went on his way to his office to report on the brutal murder.
“Good Morning bro!” Mike replied to his brother. At that time his phone disturbed him by ringing. “One minute bro” Mike ask an excuse and attend the call but he shouted “what?” after hearing the news said on other side.
He hurried and switched on the television to confirm whether the news is true or not. Mike’s family members stood confused with his behaviour and simply watched what he is doing.
There rolled the news over the tv:
“A young man found dead near the park beach road. It seems he was brutally wounded to death. The police said that they will surely catch the culprit who did that murder”
After broadcasting the face of the dead man came these lines:
“There wasn’t any id near the dead body. So the police called upon freinds or relatives who watch this news to collect the body”
Mike and his family were stunned by the news as it showed Steve’s face as the dead. “Steve!!” Mike started crying by saying Steve’s name. His family tried to console him and they went to the hospital to get Steve’s body.
Roy after reporting in the commissioner office got a call from the inspector Raj from hospital “Hello sir! It’s me Raj! Some people came here to pledge the body who dead today morning. And they said they are his family friend”.
“Raj don’t give the body to them. I’m coming there. So tell them to wait till I come” Roy replied to him and started his drive towards the hospital.
Mike still not in his senses cried and lamented for his friend’s death. Roy came in time and questioned the family “Tell me about the man. And also how you know him?” Mike’s brother answered his question “He is my brother’s friend and his name is Steve. Sometimes he comes to our house to meet my brother. So we know him”.
“And his family?” As Roy put up this question Mike answered “They are in abroad. And he stayed here all alone to look after his business”.
Roy gathered Steve’s information as much as they know “After the cremation gets over I’ll come for an enquiry. So I hope you’ll cooperate” saying these words Roy let them go.
