Pottukadalai Laadu

 

This is a quick fix recipe, you have guests all of a sudden and need to prepare something in less than 10 minutes. One side you can roll these easy to make laddoos and on other make a few pakods/bajjis to serve them. I bet, they are going to like both. πŸ™‚

Ingredients

Roasted Dal/Pottu kadalai – 1 cup

Sugar – 1 cup

Salt – a small pinch

Ghee – as needed

Broken cashew (optional) – 7-8

Method

  1. Powder roasted dal and sugar using a mixer. Add a small pinch of salt.
  2. Add broken cashews to the ground powder. Mix them all well.
  3. Melt ghee to a clear liquid form. In the hotness you can withstand, pour the ghee little by little into the powdered dal and sugar.
  4. Roll them into balls.

Yummy, healthy laddoos ready. It’s a sure shot with kids and quite healthy too.

Note:Β  Don’t pour all the ghee into all of the dal powder. Pour little, make a few balls, then again a little more and goes on.
