Maravalli kizhangu Inippu Adai – Tapioca Sweet Dish – Cassava Patty Recipe

This is a quick dish that can be prepared fast for a healthy evening snack. Or even as breakfast. With its rich and unique composition of carbohydrates, vitamins and minerals, including Tapioca in your food now and then, can give you a plethora of health benefits including healthy weight gain, improve digestion and metabolism, provide good cholesterol, bone health etc.

Tapioca – 1 cup grated

Coconut – ¼ cup grated

Sugar – as per taste

Salt – a pinch

Oil – for frying

  1. Mix all the ingredients except oil well, without adding water. Roll into balls.
  2. Heat oil in a tawa or pan in a low flame.
  3. Flatten the balls by keeping it in the palm of your hands and pressing it.
  4. Shallow fry the flattened dough till they are cooked properly on both the sides.

PS: Using ghee or butter instead of oil enriches the taste. Can add more grated coconut for better taste.
